Headwaters Trails is organizing a river cleanup of the Shiawassee River, May 18 & 19, 2024. We plan to clean up trash and open log jams from Holly to Walnut Hills Campground in Durand, tacking the river in sections with section leaders who are experienced in DNR approved river cleanup techniques. As an example, we will have Holly Water Works Park to Strom Park in Fenton on Saturday as one of the five sections on Saturday May 18.
