How to receive Zoom links for our online events
See below for an event description of our Monday online silent meditations--but first, here is important info about HOW TO REGISTER AND RECEIVE ZOOM LINKS FOR MINDFUL ASTORIA'S ONLINE EVENTS.
In order to increase our online security, we no longer post our Zoom links on Meetup. Instead, WE WILL SEND AND EMAIL EVERY WEDNESDAY WITH ZOOM LINKS for all of the coming week's events (Wed-Tue).

ZOOM LINKS WILL BE SENT OUT ONCE A WEEK on Wednesday mornings starting February 2. The deadline to sign up for emails will be 10pm on TUESDAY for that week's online events. You only need to register once to receive Zoom links on a weekly basis.
IF YOU ARE REGISTERING FOR THE FIRST TIME to attend our sessions, please allow up to 1 week to receive zoom links. (For example, if you register on a Wednesday at 2pm, you will receive an email the following Wednesday morning).
IF YOU HAVE ALREADY SIGNED UP to receive emails from us, you do not need to fill out the form again. (If you only receive our messages through Meetup, you will need to fill out the registration form).

About our Monday 7am and 8pm Silent Community Meditations
How many of us are struggling to have a daily meditation practice? At a time of social distancing, when we are missing our normal interactions with friends, family and neighbors, sitting on our meditation cushion sometimes feels like an extension of this isolation.
At Mindful Astoria, we reach out to our community and to each other to find support for our practice. Keeping this in mind, we would like to invite you to join us for a silent community meditation every Monday at 7am and 8pm.
The format for the sit will be simple: you log in using the Zoom link sent in Mindful Astoria's weekly emails. Someone will ring a bell to mark the beginning and end of the half hour silent meditation. There will be no guided instructions. The bell ringer may chose to share a poem at the end of the sit.
We hope you will join us and make this a weekly practice and discover the deep connections that can transpire from holding space together in silence.
Supporting Mindful Astoria
If you join us for an online program, we ask if you are able to offer financial support (we suggest $5-$10 per event) via the app/website PayPal to our email address: mindfulastoria@gmail.com. This will enable us to continue offering programs, and to continue to give donations to Astoria First Presbyterian Church--our Wednesday night home--while their space is closed. (No one will ever be turned away due to lack of funds.)
