What we’re about
Ready to move beyond the turbulence of life's ever changing waves? Join us for a class to gain a centered, calmer and happier way of living and working in the world.
Since we first opened our doors in 1998 we have grown into a flourishing mystery school for dedicated students in the Rama lineage. After 25 years of service, we decided to renew our commitment by officially becoming a non-profit Temple. We are now Dharma Center of Trikaya Buddhism. Beginning in 2024, we have obtained the IRS designation as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, which means that your contributions will be tax deductible!
Not only do we still offer public Meditation and Mindfulness classes on a weekly basis in-person, we’ve also expanded our offerings to include on-line classes via Zoom and have students throughout the US and internationally. Tuition is on a “pay as you wish basis” to ensure that no one is turned away from Rama’s teachings due to financial hardship. We now have 7 regular volunteer teachers offering weekly classes on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday as well as monthly classes on Tuesday and Sunday. And, we sometimes have guest teachers from the Rama Tribe.
Our adventurous ‘Members-only’ retreat program is alive and thriving. Not only do we travel to natural places of power including those that Rama led us to, like Anza Borrego, Arches National Park and Lake Tahoe, but we have expanded our reach to include exotic destinations such as Hawaii and Japan.
All of our programs are made possible by the generosity of our Members, Donors, and Volunteers. Our volunteers provide all these programs and so much more for free as an expression of gratitude for Rama's teachings and as our seva to spread the Dharma and serve all sentient beings. Even with a volunteer staff, we need financial support to continue our work. Help us keep our doors open and share the Light and Love that Rama blessed us with and which have benefited us so greatly in our lives.
There are multiple ways to offer your financial support, either as a Member or on a one-time basis:
Our membership options are quite flexible. Here is the link to our website where you can join and/or renew your Membership with a credit card or via PayPal: http://dharmacenter.com/membership/
Or, if you’d prefer to make a one-time donation of any amount, please visit our Tuition page at: https://dharmacenter.com/pay-tuition/
Thank you for your support of our ongoing efforts to keep Rama’s teachings alive!
Hope to see you soon at Dharma Center in person, on zoom, or on retreat.

See all- Sangha Day & Community Meeting! (In Person & Online)Dharma Center, San Diego, CA
Sangha Days are an opportunity to spend time with your spiritual community. Each month we host a 1-hour Community Meeting followed by a fun activity or Sangha Social Event.
We post details about our Sangha Socials here, or check the calendar for our next community meeting.
By being active in the San Diego Dharma Center sangha community you will learn how to open your mind to states of unreasonable joy. All things grow from the attention placed upon them. By focusing the mind on gratitude or the beauty of a tree or flower, beauty and gratitude within you grows. Everything changes, and the mind rises into states of happiness, peace, and unity.
Our Sangha Day community meetings allow you to practice and learn a variety of skills on both the physical and subtle levels. To help develop our subtle levels of attention, we need a project in the physical to talk about and work on. Dharma Center is our community project. It is a place where our awareness grows through the attention we give it. Connecting with sangha members provides an opportunity for personal growth as well as career growth through refining the deepest parts of your being. All while having fun!
On Sangha Days, we clean our monastery. We also have a meeting to ensure the day to day operations are running smoothly, determine the future direction of our meditation hall, and explore the ways in which we can improve our offerings to the public and our members. Then we play! Sometimes we go to the movies, or take a walk on the beach, or share a meal together. Being part of the upkeep of Dharma Center is a means to discover the deep joy and peace within you. Are you ready to become happier and brighter each day?
Then join us for a day of self-exploration and empowerment in the beautiful city of San Diego! You can participate in Sangha Day in person or online.
