We are going to meet for a couple of hours to sit down and do some writing! These are initial trial sessions, so any feedback or suggestions afterwards would be welcome. Thank you to Lewis for the idea and agreeing to run the sessions ❤
Lots of us are interested in songwriting but struggle to make time to write the lyrics. This meet-up is intended to help us make some time, have some fun and get a little closer to our songwriting ambitions.
This isn’t a formal workshop or a critique group. It’s a casual meet-up to have a nice time and beat our procrastination. Nobody will be expected to share anything they’ve written if they don’t want to!
We will do some easy free-writing exercises designed by Pat Pattison, and we might try something more complex if we’re feeling up to it.
We’ll be meeting in Trembling Madness on Lendal, where we have the left-hand attic room reserved (sorry in advance for all the stairs!) Ask staff to direct you if you’re unsure where to go.
You’ll need something to write with, or a laptop. There is no charge for the session (but please buy something from the venue).
