Daniël Tara is a UX designer and frontend developer specialized in WordPress. He has worked for both large and small companies, as well as freelanced, often placing him in direct contact with clients. Client feedback on designers often sounds like “Can you make it pop a bit more?”— leaving the entire task of interpretation and execution on our shoulders. By learning to read between the lines, we can make communication with clients run more smoothly. How do we extract valuable feedback from vague comments? How can we convince clients of the value of our work?
Taco Verdonschot is director of community & partnerships at Emilia, and co-owner of Progress Planner. He's been in the WordPress community since 2013, attending over 50 WordPress conferences all over the world. Taco is a contributor to WordPress's Polyglots and Community teams. Since WordCamp US in 2024, a lot has happened in the WordPress ecosystem. Taco will give an overview of the major events, and show what this means for your business and website. Important questions we'll be researching together are "Is WordPress too big to fail?", "Will my website stop working?", and "Is there a future for and in WordPress?", to name just a few.
