Building Business Relationships: Lunch & Learn Apr 24
The Celebration Center, 13780 W Greenfield Ave #778, Brookfield, WI, USBuilding Business Relationships and referrals are among the most powerful growth strategies available to Wisconsin business owners — yet most people are doing it wrong. Instead of building genuine relationships that generate a steady stream of referrals, they're working rooms full of strangers, exchanging cards with people they'll never follow up with, and wondering why networking never seems to move the needle.
On April 24, 2026, Wisconsin Business Owners is hosting a Lunch & Learn at The Celebration Center in Brookfield that will change the way you think about growing your business. The topic: Building a Sphere of Influence and a Network of Endless Referrals — a practical, proven system that makes relationship-based marketing the backbone of your entire business development strategy.
### Why Wisconsin Business Owners Are Networking Wrong
Most Wisconsin business owners have experienced networking at its worst — awkward small talk, aggressive pitching, and a room full of people competing for attention rather than building connections. It feels transactional because it is transactional. And transactional networking produces inconsistent results at best.
The problem isn't networking itself. The problem is the approach.
Real business networking — the kind that builds a thriving referral pipeline — operates on an entirely different principle. It's not about working a room. It's about building a Sphere of Influence: a circle of people who know you, trust you, and genuinely want to send business your way.
There's a reason one of the most enduring principles in professional relationship-building states that all things being equal, people will do business with — and refer business to — those they know, like, and trust. That single insight, when truly understood and consistently applied, has the power to eliminate tedious prospecting and drive a constant flow of qualified referrals through your door.
### A Business Networking System Built on Referrals
This Lunch & Learn isn't a motivational talk. It's a practical session built around a system — one specifically designed to make business networking easy, enjoyable, and repeatable for Wisconsin business owners at every stage.
You'll learn exactly how to build and grow a Sphere of Influence that works for your specific business, how to connect with prospects in a way that earns genuine trust, and how to position yourself so that the people in your network don't just refer business to you — they actively champion your success.
For business owners exhausted by cold outreach, expensive advertising, and the grind of traditional prospecting, referral-based networking offers a smarter, more sustainable path. When your relationships are strong, your marketing works harder with far less effort — because your network is out there selling for you, every single day.
### What You'll Learn: Referrals, Relationships, and Results
Walk into this session ready to rethink everything you thought you knew about Building Business Relationships. Walk out with a clear, actionable framework for building referral relationships that produce real, measurable results. Specifically, you'll discover:
- What networking isn't — and why the traditional approach costs you more than it earns
- How to identify and grow your Sphere of Influence in the Wisconsin business community
- The psychology behind know, like, and trust — and how to build all three faster than you think
- How to make prospects want to see you succeed — and refer others to you consistently
