Chilbolton, Cow Common, Wherwell and the River Test

• Location - Test Way Parking, West Down Nature Reserve, SO206AX (free parking)
• Distance - 8 miles
• Duration - 3 to 4 hours
• Cost - £2 (cash on the day, pays for the group's Meetup fees)

Join me for a walk from Chilbolton, along parts of the River Test, through the woods at Wherwell and back along the river to the Mayfly Pub for a drink at the end. I'll leave the option of lunch open, but this pub gets very busy.

There is one short but sharp ascent and a few rolling hills. There are a few particularly high-stepped styles.

At 8 miles, this is just a tad longer than usual and would aim to do this in 3 to 4 hours including breaks. If you're a regular walker, you'll be fine but if you're not in shape, this walk is not for you.
