What we’re about

Welcome to Wild Camping Ireland.
We organise free wild camping events throughout the year.
We hike, bike and wild camp mostly in Wicklow but venture further afield from time to time.
All participants at an event must have their own Camping Equipment and be self sufficient in relation to all aspects of wild camping.
The leaders on events will set a comfortable pace for the hike and the bike journey.
Our events are open to all who can cover the distance and are appropriately prepared. No matter what your level of experience may be, whether beginner or expert, you are very welcome to join.
Huge emphasis on having fun, learning a new skill set, meeting new people and enjoying the amazing outdoors.

Thu, Aug 28, 2025, 7:00 PM ISTThe Pyrenees Haute Route (HRP) - From the Mountains to the Sea
Needs location
Starting August 28th and finishing 16th September.
This is Stage 4 & 5 of a linear walk along the Haute Route Pyrenees with mostly wild camping. Starting in Salardu and finishing at the Mediterranean Sea at the town of Banyuls sur Mer. The length of the route is 312km with 21,360m of ascent. It is essential that you have the level of fitness to meet the daily demands of this route. Experience of wild camping is a must and the requirements of carrying all your gear. The trip is planned to take 17 days.

Andorra it at the end of Stage 4 so it would also be possible to do either Stage 4 or Stage 5 as an alternative. Andorra has good public transport links with buses and trains.

The flights shall be confirmed. They are likely to be Dublin to Tolouse and Tolouse/Carcassone/Barcelona to Dublin.

The Haute Route Pyrenees is an 800km trek from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean along the Pyrenees. This is Stage 4 and 5 of five stages.
