MEET 'N' GREET: THE KICK OFF OF THE WESTCHESTER ARTISANS

Let's plan to meet! This is the inaugural kick off meetup for the Westchester Artisans group. As the group is super new, if there isn't a group (say at least 3-4 of us) then will move this date/time to another date/time.

Note: this is open to all, whether the trial for the group is still in place or expired.

Since it is market season, and most markets fall on weekends, I've elected a weeknight for us to meet. Moreover I've chosen the courtyard seating area at the Boyce Thompson Center (where there is Starbucks, Taco Project etc) so there's flexibility for us to sit outside if the weather is nice, sit inside if it's not and order food or drink if desired. Lots of options - and plenty of parking!

In this first gathering, if your creations are portable why not bring one or two to share with the group? We'll exchange ideas on where we are at in our creative pursuits - contemplating, creating, well established etc. and then have a discussion about markets with such areas of focus:

• Do you participate in markets - if yes, what ones? if no, why not?
• Of the markets you participate in what was the criteria you used to determine it was one you wished to join?
• How do you measure success at a market?
• Do you do local (Westchester) only markets or do you join markets in other areas such as the city, other counties or states. If so what has been your experience?
• What are your tips and tricks to optimizing your market experience?
