Itinerary

Meet outside Steeton station where the information board, bus turn circle and stairs up to the main road are. If you get a train from Leeds you'll walk off the platform to this location.

We start by walking along Station Road to Steeton, we weave through Steeton to Barrows Lane and start ascending up this out of Steeton. We can veer off to take a footpath through woodland and then rejoin the road further up. We carry on up the road and join the Bradford Millenium Way (BMW) following it along Redcar Lane. We stay on the road past a few corners and then take the BMW through fields, cross over Tarn Lane and then descend down into Laycock village.

We follow the BMW out of Laycock via Roberts Street and then down to Game Scar Lane. We follow this down the hillside, through a hamlet, until we can take a footpath into the woodland, over the river and follow the BMW to Teapot Dam. We can walk around the dam and then rejoin the BMW footpath as it ascends up the hillside to Greystones Lane. We walk along the road briefly before veering off alongside the hillside following the BMW to Slippery Ford Lane.

We now leave the BMW and walk up this road until we can veer off across the moors and follow the footpath to Buck Stone Lane. We cross over and continue across the moors to Wainmain's Pinnacle (a stone tower structure built into the rocks here). We then continue along the moors to Lunds Tower (pictured) a different shaped stone tower, you can go inside and up.

Once ready we descend down to Dick Lane and descend down the road until we can veer off onto a footpath that will take us down to Sutton-in-Craven. I cannot see a decent pub in Steeton so we will go to the Kings Arm's here. For those that are not intersted in the pub, you can either get a bus back to Steeton or follow the road back. Those of us that do go to the pub can do the same afterwards.
