After group photo and safety talk - Paddles in

I plan to paddle Wolverine to Rondo, you are welcome to go further if you have another paddler with you.

Pull-outs: 2-3 hour paddle to Rondo Rd, Depending on your fast river experience, you may want to take out here. (Lunch stop is here)

4 hour paddle to Fisher Woods

The Sturgeon, fastest river in lower Michigan. Drops 10 feet per mile and offers some very fun twisty/turny dodge the tubers action.
Fun river, but not recommended for first year beginners or those who have only been on lakes or those who have only been on slow rivers, (i.e Upper Rogue, Flat)

If you have any questions about what take out is appropriate, or if you should attempt this river, please talk with an organizer or paddlers with more experience.

Put-In: Wolverine Park (GPS coordinates 45.275,-84.601)

Map to Sturgeon River access in Wolverine from Burt Lake. Haakwood is about 3/4 of the way there on the same road.

Drivers, meet before taking off to be sure no one is left behind, and let the organizers know what pullout you wish to park at. Volunteers for shuttle drivers are highly appreciated, and earn the "Guide" title in your profile. (please text me to remind me)

Once the drivers return, we will provide a safety brief, then do a group photo before anyone goes on the river.

From Wolverine to Rondo is a nice, fun paddle..
From Rondo to White there could be some challenging areas depending on any previous storms
From White to Fisher is a fun paddle.
