At this round-table style meetup, we will share our recent sewing projects, brag about new techniques learned, and lament about challenges faced. If you are new to sewing, there will be plenty of support from us. Our group primarily enjoys garment sewing, but all fiber arts are welcome.

If you would like to share your makes with the group, feel free to bring your project, pattern(s) used, or new favorite sewing tool - anything project-related is fair game. Bring your pins and time permitting we’ll help you fit!

All levels of sewing knowledge are welcomed. More than anything, this is an opportunity to socialize and enjoy sewing related chat without the risk of an acquaintance asking you to hem their pants! ;)

The Windsory Park Library closes at 8:00 so we need to end our meeting at 7:45.

If you want to be with sew-minded folks, join this Zoom! Beginners are welcome!

Wesew Austin Meetup is based in Austin, Texas, but anyone, anywhere is welcome to join our Zoom events. Our Zooms require authentication so you need to sign in before the meeting begins.

This meeting starts with a brief chat for those who have questions on their projects. Then we will put our microphones on mute and sew. If anyone hits an obstacle on their project, they can unmute to ask for help.

Also, no need to tune in exactly at 1 pm, or stay the entire time--whatever works for you, we are here for it!

*** For full capabilities, you will need to download the free Zoom app onto your phone, laptop, or iPad beforehand to attend the meeting. Please make sure the microphone and/or camera works. Also, before the meeting, figure out where to set your device for when you're working, and be sure it's plugged in/has a full battery.

I opened up the wait-list to include everyone, but we now are over the capacity for a meeting room. We will meet on the 6th floor in the lounge area. When you get to the 6th floor from either the stairs/elevator, turn right and we'll be straight ahead. I'll push several tables together to accommodate us.

Come hang out and meet other South Austin sewists in a casual, family friendly environment. The venue has lots of playscapes for kids so feel free to bring them. As long as it isn't raining, we'll sit outside. Leave the sewing machine at home. :)
