Golden Gardens staircase, marine walk, and lunch

Note on change of meeting location:
For those who drive: Meet outside The Kite Cafe in Golden Gardens Park at 10.50am.
Those who arrive by bus (like me): You are welcome to meet at the Caffe Fiore (3125 NW 85th St, Seattle, WA 98117) at 10.30 am to walk down the steps to the beach. From there, we'll make a loop around the marina and fishing pier and climb up the steps while enjoy the PNW greenery on the trails.

Lunch: After making the loop and gathering next to the Golden Garden Off-Leash area, we will have two lunch options: 1) Walk up the steps to Sunny Hill Pizza at 3127 NW 85th St, Seattle, WA 98117 (they only accept maximum 6 people without reservation; very good pizza and salad). 2) Walk down and further (we may drive) to Ray's Cafe at 6049 Seaview Ave NW, Seattle, WA 98107 (they can accommodate up to 20 people without reservation, tables of 6-10, good seafood and standard American food choices). Price range at both places $$$.

### Access

• Take bus 40 from downtown and walk 15-20 minutes to café Fiore.
• Take bus 45 from the U-District, which stops right outside café Fiore.
• Drive to the park and park near the Kite Cafe and meet us there at about 10.50 am.

• You are responsible for your own safety and expenses during this walk.
• This route is rated easy, but the nearly 300 steps may be challenging for some. Know your ability before signing up. The loop is ~ 3 miles; 240 ft elevation gain.
