Please join us for our next group walk on Sunday 18th May, which Helen and Mike will be leading.
Our friendly group is for people of all ages who have lost their life partners, either recently or a while ago, and want to walk and talk with others in a similar situation who may understand how they are feeling. Our walks provide a safe space to share experiences, coping strategies, and companionship, while enjoying the beauty of nature.
We will meet in the National Trust car park at Horsey Windpump NR29 4EE. This is on the B1159. The car park costs £4 for NT non-members, so do bring £1 coins for the pay machine (or your membership card).
Please arrive ready for a prompt 9am start, and please carshare to get there if possible as parking may be limited – thank you. The walk is about 4 miles and afterwards we will have coffee etc at the café at the windpump. Be warned : there is no shelter there and minimal seating so please feel free to bring a foldup chair if you want.
Some of the walk is on sand, and there are stiles , so please wear appropriate clothing and footwear. The walk is unfortunately not suitable for people with mobility issues.
As always, the event is free to attend, but no dogs thank you, and please note that walkers take part at their own risk. Please also be aware that we are a peer group for mutual support, and that the event will not be led by trained grief counsellors.
Please RSVP (see below) as it helps us to manage numbers.
And please don't message me (Sue!) about this walk nearer the time, as I won't be able to respond. Any questions, please post on group chat for Helen - cheers :)
