My Story: Hi, I'm Héctor. I was born in Mexico City and currently live in Hamilton, Ontario. I founded this group in June 2020 with a simple dream: to connect people from Calgary and Mexico City.
Today, five years later, we have grown into a network of 9 MeetUp groups (Mexico City, Calgary, Vancouver, Toronto, New York, London, Los Angeles, Medellín, and Santiago de Chile) all participating simultaneously. By joining us, you will meet people from across the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Australia—opening your horizons from the comfort of your home.

English Spanish Language Conversation

We meet on the following days:
- Monday 5 pm
- Wednesday 5 pm
- Sunday 8 am
The average attendance per meeting is 25 participants.
Format
Depending on attendance and nationality, small groups are formed with 4-6 people:
- 2 native English speakers
- 2 native Spanish speakers
- 1 native speaker of another language
The meetings last for 2 hours and are divided into 4 periods:
- 30 minutes speaking in English
- 30 minutes speaking in Spanish
- 30 minutes speaking in English
- 30 minutes speaking in Spanish
Please note that we speak half of the time in English and half in Spanish. We help each other learn both languages.
After two hours, everyone returns to the main room to meet all participants and take a group screenshot. If you have time, you’re welcome to stay and continue the conversation for as long as you like.

Beginner Room A1 and A2 (Mondays Only)
Start: 5:30 pm
Duration: 1 hour
Welcome, English and Spanish beginners.
Please note that we speak half of the time in English and half in Spanish. We help each other learn both languages.
After two hours, everyone returns to the main room to meet all participants and take a group screenshot. If you have time, you’re welcome to stay and continue the conversation for as long as you like.
