What we’re about
## Who Are We
We are an active social club where members have a variety of activities, events, and trips to choose from.
The Urban Diversion team consists of staff and hosts dedicated to creating a community where people can come together in a fun, adventurous, and respectful environment of like-minded people. The UD team doesn't just organize and plan events - we participate and have fun right alongside you, so it always feels like a group of friends and friends of friends!
We welcome members of all ages and have members aged 20-50+ though the majority of our members are young professionals.
## Our Mission
"To inspire lifelong connections and community through unforgettable experiences and adventures."
## Why a Membership?
We operate on a membership model to cultivate a close-knit community of friends, ensuring you'll consistently see familiar faces at every event. Prior to forming UD, we attended several meetups but found many to be fairly transient. This led us to meet many people but not form deep friendships. Urban Diversion was formed with the intent to building lasting relationships. Many of our members have been attending events for years.
Membership involves a monthly fee that sustains our vibrant community and facilitates the formation of genuine, enduring friendships.
To become part of our community on MeetUp, please start by becoming a member at http://www.urbandiversion.com.
## Our Events
From waterfall hikes to sushi & sake classes; bungee jumping or a wild NYE party; backpacking Tahoe to wine tasting or even International travel... Urban Diversion has something for everyone.

This secluded stretch of the California Coast just north of SF is one of the most beautiful places in our entire state, both rugged and tranquil at the same time.
Our route will bring us high upon the bluffs with endless ocean views, and down to the soft-sand beaches with the waves breaking on the shore. Not to mention, the opportunity to walk to the iconic Alamere Falls from our campsite at low tide!!
This backpacking trip is perfect for beginners! It's also great for experienced backpackers who are looking to train for the summer season. Come explore this bucket-list location with the UD crew!Adventure Chart

The total mileage for the weekend will be around 11-15 miles round trip, split up into three days of hiking, making it perfect for anyone looking to get in "trail training" before summer starts. Expect to see beautiful secluded beaches, redwood forests, grassy plains, seaside cliffs, hidden lakes, tide pools and more. If we're lucky we might even see some Tule Elk!

Why You Should Come:
The California seashore is one of the most beautiful, dynamic stretches of coastline anywhere on the West Coast of the United States. Permits are very limited and hard to get, meaning fewer people on the trails! This backpacking trip captures so much of what this area of California has to offer - long, stunning beaches, dense forests, starry skies, and more. Enjoy a beginner backpacking trip without the crazy, stressful elevation gain that most backpacking trips include. Come along, put your toes in the sand, and join your UD friends for an awesome trip just a short hour and a half out of the city.

Speakeasy's became popular in the 1920's when the selling of alcohol became illegal so people had to get creative. The name 'Speakeasy' originated from a young Irish woman (of course it was the Irish) who sold liquor without a license and so would tell her clients to 'speak-easy' when ordering alcohol.
Some speakeasies were connected to gangsters, who often owned the bars or sold them bootlegged alcohol.

About Castello di Amorosa
Castello di Amorosa is a stunning 14th-century Tuscan-style castle nestled in Napa Valley, built with medieval authenticity and attention to detail.
Complete with moats, drawbridges, towers, and dungeons, this architectural masterpiece transports visitors to the past. Every stone, iron gate, and fresco reflects the vision of Dario Sattui, who poured his passion for medieval history and winemaking into its creation. More than just a winery, it’s a journey through time—where Old World charm meets award-winning wines.***
