What we’re about

Unity is the fastest growing game engine in the world. Developers use Unity to make amazing games & simulations, as well as some of the best applications for advertising, medical, energy, architecture and education. Austin is a great place to be a developer! We meet monthly to discuss new hardware, plugins, and local games being developed. We also organize advanced workshops & hackathons focused on developing for VR, AR and the latest gaming peripherals. We welcome new developers and artists as much as we do seasoned industry veterans.

This month's Austin Unity User Group is a collaboration between us and Austin's IGDA chapter. We will be doing a multi-disciplinary panel focused on "leveling up your career". We are working on full finalized comms with IGDA Austin Chapter, but we wanted to get this out in front of people ASAP.

Panel Summary:
Join us for an educational meetup dedicated to helping you reach the next stage of your game development career! Austin Community College is hosting a one-off speaker event featuring a panel of industry professionals from a wide array of career paths and backgrounds, ready to discuss the habits, strategies and personal lessons that helps shape a successful game dev. Whether you’re just starting out or working toward a senior role, walk away with real guidance to reach your next milestone!

We strongly encourage attendees to bring in their Unity projects to workshop and receive feedback from peers during this event.

We encourage our community to bring any playable demos of their game to this event. Feel free to share and get feedback on your projects before and after the speaker portion of the Meet-up.

RSVPs for this event are required to ensure building security and that we order enough food for all participants

We'll be meeting at ACC Highland Campus' Make It Center (MIC) in North Austin, on May 22nd from 6:00pm - 9:00 pm. The MIC is located in Building 2000, Room 2429. The address is 6101 Highland Campus Dr.
