What we’re about
We are a social group of People who are open to learning and trying more of anything relating to the vegan lifestyle. It is public knowledge that the key to achieving a healthy lifestyle and all the benefits that come with it (improved brain function, improved memory, increased energy and wellbeing just to name a few) is the adaption of a plant based diet. Come join us and be surrounded by people that value their health and performance as much as you do. We go to various vegan and vegan friendly restaurants in the DFW and review them while trying some awesome vegan food! If this sounds like your speed we'd love for you to join us! Both Vegans and non vegans are!
If you want to know how reviews work, continue reading. At least once a month, we visit a restaurant that is either completely vegan or has a number of vegan options available. The review consists of a written review and a video review. For the video review, Elijah asks everyone what they thought of the restaurant based on 3 things that we will cover a little later. If a veggie outer is camera shy, Elijah will skip over them at their request when conducting the video review. The written review is based on the factors below. We give them a rating on a scale of 1 to 10 based on 3 factors: Food, Atmosphere and Customer Service.
### RATINGS
How was the food? This one is simple. How did it taste?! Was it the best thing you’ve ever had or did it taste like stale wheat bread? Since we have multiple taste buds rating (Vegans, Vegetarians and omnivores), this section remains unbiased.
Atmosphere is what was the feel of the place? Was it boring, quiet, loud, laid back with music, etc. This is what makes the restaurant different from the rest. Some restaurants have impressive visuals such as art around the place, creating an impressive theme. Others have laid back music in the background that matches the type of food we’re eating. This is where a restaurants creativity has a chance to shine.
Customer Service is probably the most self explanatory. Did they live up to the standards a restaurant should? Did we get our food in 15 minutes or an hour? Did they keep an eye on our table(s)? The best food in the world can’t make up for crappy service.
We all take pictures of the food we had for the review and give it a number on a scale of 1 to 10. Those numbers are then added up and divided by the number of veggie outers at the meetup which gives the restaurant a rating in each section. The number rating for each section is then added up and divided by 3 which gives the restaurant an overall rating. In this way, you can get an both an overall view of the restaurant and at the same time pick a section you care about most (Lets say food for example) and look at the details of that section.
