About us
Welcome to The Mango Grove
If you plant a mango tree, you have to be patient. It takes time to grow and bear fruit, but eventually it becomes a place where the neighborhood can gather in the shade. That is the exact idea behind this group.
I started this space to build a relaxed, grounded community for Indians, the diaspora, and anyone who appreciates the culture. I was looking for a true village feel.
Any member is welcome to step up and host an outing. If you want to plan a dinner, a park day, a board game night, or just a casual meetup for tea, the floor is yours.
🌿 Community Guidelines & Safety
To ensure The Mango Grove remains a safe, spam-free, and welcoming space as we scale, we have a few basic guidelines for all members.
1. Hosting & Trust (Safety First): you must attend at least 1 or 2 events first.
2. Event Coordination: If you want to host something, shoot a DM to an Admin, beforehand.
3. No External Crossposting
Please take a quick look at our detailed living community guidelines google doc here.
To keep the dynamic right, this group is for adults 21 - 35.
Come pull up a chair. We look forward to hanging out.
