Hello everyone and welcome to The Eckhart Tolle "The Power of Now" Meetup.
Heralded as being the greatest work of non-fiction ever written, The Power of Now has sold over 5 million copies worldwide and been translated into over 35 languages. Written by Eckhart Tolle in the 1990's it is the most influential spiritual psychology book of our time and remains a bestseller. The book is a gateway into the present moment which is all we ever have and has changed the lives of thousands of people.
Meetings are held monthly to explore the teachings of Eckhart Tolle and are a mix of meditation, audio/visual presentations, group discussion and poetry. I do hope you can join us.

" To die before you die " is a Buddhist quote which means to die to the ego, or personal self, before the death of the physical body.
The ego, or false self, is a conceptual framework for who we believe ourselves to be. Once this is realised and embraced there can be the letting go of previously held beliefs and identities, a shedding of the egoic self, like a snake shreds it's skin.
This is the symbolic death of the ego.
Many people realise this at the point of their physical death but the teaching is to realise this sooner and to find freedom or as Eckhart Tolle puts it, to find the secret of life.
Join us on June 15th when we will explore, with the aid of teachings from Eckhart Tolle and others, how by letting go of attachment to the ego and the illusory self we can achieve a state of freedom and enlightenment while still alive.
