What we’re about
First Draft Society of Syracuse is a writers’ group for anyone looking to share their work, receive thoughtful critiques, and build creative momentum. Writing can be a solitary process, but it doesn’t have to be. Whether you’re working on a novel, short stories, memoir, or anything in between, this group is here to offer support, accountability, and fresh perspectives.
We meet weekly to workshop pieces, exchange constructive feedback, and help each other grow as writers. Meetings will be held in person or on Zoom, depending on group preferences. This is a space for writers of all genres and experience levels who are serious about honing their craft—no egos, no pretension, just a group of people committed to getting words on the page and making them better.
