"This is a Group that Runs Meetups in London & Surrounding Areas of Based on Tea Dances"
We Are Here To Educate People on Tea Dance which Will Fast Become a Dying Art Form. What You Will Get is an idea of the venue, and type of guests who attend, so you can seek out and meet other dancers with whom you can relate.
When Does a Tea Dance Take Place ?
Most In the Afternoon From 2 pm Onwards But Could be Earlier or Later We Don't Mind If There are Evening Tea Dances too.
The Tea Dance will be in London and The Surrounding Counties Either on a Weekday or Weekend But most likely weekend as Some of you Work
Is There a Format for the Tea Dance ?
Yes There is a Format Usually First Waltz at Beginning or Last Waltz at the end with a Bus Stop in The middle after Tea Break but Rules can vary or be Broken. This is The Format with a Ballroom Tea Dance. Lots of Cake and some Times some alcohol depending on The Venue. Some Have a Sequence Element To Dance with some easy Sequence Dances and Others Not so Easy but one can learn them after a time. The Progressive Barn Dance is The Easiest of The Sequences To Do.
Dress Code For a Tea Dance ?
There is a Rough Sketch Tea Dance Dress Code Please Speak to the Organiser about this if You are Unsure
How is it Listed?
It's in list and calendar format and shows all the afternoon tea dances where one can find ballroom, Latin and sequence dancing in Greater London. We give you entrance prices, help on how to get there by public transport, drink and food prices and policy, styles of dances and music played, a profile of the dress code, dj or band, and some photos of the exterior and interior. We check all these places out and write a brief review giving our own experience there.
