What we’re about

Hello and a very warm welcome to my group.

After running a singles group for 6 years, and finding many of my members are now coupled up, I thought it was time for a bit of a revamp and open the group up to anyone - couples and singles alike. 

I started the group Gemini Events back in January 2014, after being suddenly widowed in 2012. Finding myself on my own at 40 wasn't part of the plan and I found it really hard to find other new friends who weren't attached. I didn't think I would be the only one in a similar situation and I was right.... I began Gemini Events as a singles group and have seen countless new friends have been made, numbers & facebook details exchanged, and subsequent evenings out arranged. 

I take the intimidation out of breaking the ice allowing people to meet new people in a fun relaxed environment: Bringing together people at fun organised events in the Bristol / Somerset area for friendship and/or romance.

The difference with THIS group is that I organise a variety of EVENTS so even the shyest of people can also join in with the more outgoing of people. You can join in as much, or as little as you feel OK to do so.

Interactive events such as the monthly ten pin bowing, themed evenings and simple drinks gatherings allow members to meet & mingle with others without any pressure, expectation or being contrived. It is not a “dating” group, but a social group. However, if you happen to meet your Mr or Miss Right, then great, I get to get my hat out of the wardrobe!
