What weโre about
The Cattery - People who love cats : )
Letโs get together and do cat related things. : ) Pretty much this is the group that will seal the deal that our families and friends are right about us being crazy cat people. Ha-ha
This is a good environment to post cat related fund raisers to support cat related causes, etc...
There are cat shows, The Catio tour (9/7/19), POP Cats (9/28-30/19); Documentaries, cat puzzle and/or game nights, Get together for Coffee, Cat art & goods, etcโฆ
Some things Iโd like to happen if possible are: a cat related tea (I have cat tea pots); maybe a cat โlow teaโ (a not too fancy or serious high tea); an artist(s) night where we get to watch an artist(s) do their work; cat related paint-nite; potlucks where we can use some of our cat themed dishes (a lot of us have them); maybe a Catio Garden party, etcโฆ etcโฆ {I will add more ideas on this page as we go].
We will also be having an occasional gatherings where we have a bit of a memorial for our losses that we're still processing. It won't be anything too serious but where we can share our happy memories with each other about our pets and maybe share ways of coping that might help. Nothing heavy or reliving or recounting the loss and just being a support to each other.
Ideas? Suggestions? Comments? Want to host an event(s)? Please meetup message us privately.
This group does not have a membership cost but will be run off of donations. : ) Donations will go to meetup costs and for events supplies, etc...
There might be an occasional fundraiser for causes to benefit animal welfare which details for those events would be clearly laid out in the event postings.
If you like Dogs as well as catsโฆ youโll be in good company. If you hate catsโฆ maybe keep that between you and your cat. : )
