What we’re about
Welcome to our group, The Camping Collective. We are a camping community that loves to camp, enjoy many outdoor activities, and socialize. We have a lot of fun!
We support YMCA Camp Kern please consider donating to help fund camp scholarships https://www.campkern.org/donate-to-kern.html for children that do not have the financial resources to attend camp. If you wish to donate, click the link and select Camp Kern as the campaign and Loretta Bailey as the campaigner. Thanks for your support!
Camping is at our core, but we also enjoy hiking, biking, swimming, kayaking, boating, and local entertainment. We also have joint events with other like-minded groups so you may see our events posted elsewhere.
We organize campouts in the SW Ohio region primarily but as adventurers, we also explore Ohio and our neighboring states! Have an idea for a campout? Let us know!
Come as you are, everyone is welcome to bring their hammock, tent, sleeping bag, camper, RV, or whatever it is they wish to camp in. Event details will indicate if the campout is at a group camp or if you should make your reservation. We prefer to stay at county, state, and national parks if possible!
My role as the organizer is to facilitate the creation of a community of campers who enjoy being around each other and the outdoors.
If you’d like to join our group your profile must have a photo of your face with no sunglasses. The exception is if a person on the leadership team has met or knows you.
Don’t know anyone? DM the organizer to see if you can come as their guest.
Stayed tuned to this space, we're going camping!

The possibilities are endless, you could kick off the day with a scenic hike through the rolling trails and a relaxing yoga session by the lake. Then, gear up for some kayaking fun in the crystal-clear waters. Kayaks should be available for rent at the boat ramp from Kountry Kayaks during the weekend. This lake is electric motor only so it should be nice and quiet.
For the adrenaline junkies, members could organize a mountain biking activity to get their heart racing.
Whether you're a seasoned outdoor enthusiast or new in town looking to explore, this event is perfect for everyone. Come connect with like-minded individuals, embrace the great outdoors, and make unforgettable memories with The Camping Collective!

If someone is interested in volunteering to lead a hike any of the 3 mornings, please let me know! Details are usually solidified around the campfire.
This is a great site with plenty of space and a restroom available.
Bring a lawn chair, a flashlight or headlamp, and firewood to the campfire. We can always use more firewood! This is not an electric site. However, there is plenty of space in the parking lot for you to park your camper.
This is the exact location of the group site. Do not go to the main campground. You'll turn left at the Marina sign.
