We've all heard about microservices for a very long time. Maybe your boss read a random tech article or heard somewhere about the benefits of modern architectures using microservice and came back chanting, 'We need microservices!'
But if you're hesitant to change, don't want to lose your job while everything runs smoothly, and desire an exciting daily routine filled with constant work (without the burden of fixing bugs, tracking issues, or logging random errors, etc.), and if your goal is to ensure your boss can't fire you, then you should find ways to make that microservices project fail. The best way to secure your job, in this scenario, is to keep things just bad enough that they constantly need your attention to fix them.
