What we’re about
The Tarot Guild of Australia (TGA) represents a community of Tarot professionals, readers, teachers and enthusiasts.
The TGA is a membership-based organisation, offering those with an interest in Tarot the opportunity to become Interest or Professional Members. The Sydney group holds monthly meetings open to all, members and non-members of the Guild.
The primary aim of the TGA is to raise public interest and awareness of the Tarot, to promote the study of the Tarot, to maintain ethical standards in the practice of reading Tarot via professional certification and to provide a network for further education and sharing information amongst members.
The TGA offers Tarot events and workshops in major Australian cities and provides an opportunity to connect and network with like-minded individuals while learning about the Tarot.
Please note that membership of this Meetup group does not constitute membership of the Tarot Guild of Australia. TGA membership information is provided at our meetings or on the TGA website Tarot Guild of Australia or facebook page Tarot Guild of Australia

See all- Tarot - A Point of Power with Angela BrandCrows Nest Centre, Crows Nest
(Pay cash or card at the door: Free for Professional Members, $10 for Interest members, $20 for non-members)
The Tarot is a wonderful vehicle steeped in ancient wisdom. Each and every card is the picture “that says a thousand words”. The Tarot’s imagery is a visual imprint that helps open the doorway of higher intuition and stimulate psychic flow. When used as a means for deeper understanding and higher guidance, the Tarot becomes a “point of power” – a tool for constructive, life-enhancing empowerment - both for the everyday activities of life and for the major areas of growth we need to journey along our Path. Whether reading for oneself or another, this is what we want. We want to gain the insight and advice entwined within each card to understand, educate and improve our situation. During this workshop we will learn to open our intuition and become a constructive reader. We will look at cards from the minor and major arcana that are often considered “challenging” and find the sage advice inherent within the card. To augment this process, and set the scene – we will learn a simple process of grounding, centring, aligning and setting intent. This process stabilises the reader (physically, psychologically and energetically) in the present, enhancing their psychic flow to open up to the depth and breadth of wisdom within each card.
Please bring your Tarot and a pen. This is a highly practical presentation and is based on the Rider Waite imagery.
Biography:
Acquiring my first deck of Tarot as a teenager, I taught at a metaphysical college for 10 years, channelling many courses including Angels and Tarot. My goal is summed up in my favourite phrase, “Magic Happens” - finding a point-of-power within oneself, that switches on a light and transforms an individual and their life situation for the better.
