This meetup is to gather people interested in making, creating, inventing, and entrepreneurship. SynergyMill FabLab makerspace is a shared community workshop in Greenville, SC. We meet to share the vision of the workshop as a community resource and provide a fun place to hang out and make things. Check out the SynergyMill website.

Over the last few million years, the human body has grown to become an excellent interface to the world around it. Every day our bodies grasp coffee mugs, write notes, and bike to Publix. Our fingertips have evolved to sense even the slightest touch, we can identify a bump the size of a single fingerprint ridge-- Yet our computers use none of it. Over the past 60 years, our primary interface with computing systems has been sitting alone, in front of a screen, occasionally tapping a keyboard or swiping glass. What if there was a more dynamic way of using a computer that allowed us to better use our bodies?
The second installment of the Alt.computing meetup will focus on "Physical Computing Systems" that attempt to create a computer that we can touch, feel, and use collaboratively with others.
