Lunch at Government House: Double Bay to Kirribilli Wharf! 13KM Medium

We meet at Circular Quay Wharf 2 to catch the 9:57AM ferry to Double Bay, arriving 10:13AM. We climb the Marathon Street Stairs and head out along Darling Point Road for McKell Park and some of Sydney's most historic houses. Down onto Rushcutters Bay, we cruise through Elizabeth Bay, Potts Point, Woolloomooloo and the Botanic Garden where we enter Government House (official residence, NSW Governor) and stop for lunch on the VERY POSH Eastern Terrace lawn.

THERE IS NO FOOD FOR SALE AT GOVERNMENT HOUSE, SO MEMBERS MUST BRING LUNCH! BATHROOMS AVAILABLE!

We will be at Government House long enough for Members to take the free tour, if you wish to.

Lunch done, we check out the Opera House and head to the high-line Cahill Walk which takes us onto the Harbour Bridge which we cross to Milsons Point. We follow the harbour pathways to Mary Booth Lookout on our way to Admiralty House (official Sydney residence; Australian Governor General) and Kirribilli House (official Sydney residence; Australian Prime Minister). It is a short walk to Kirribilli Ferry Wharf for the ferry back to Circular Quay where we may take a refreshment at Paragon Hotel.

What to Bring: Please bring snacks and lunch, hat, sunscreen, plenty of water. Members must bring lunch as there is no option to buy food at our lunch stop.
