Weekend trip to Hermann, MO.

Planned events:
FRIDAY: If you get there early enough:
Check in, Lunch, see at least half of Hermann History Museum ($5) (312 Schiller St) (will also go on Saturday),
check out Gasconade Courthouse (119 E 1st St) - open until 4:30,
a winery (maybe Lionheart - 215 Schiller St).
7:00pm: Tin Mill Restauranturant on 1st Street by Hermannhoff Inn. Let me know if you can make it! 315 E 1st Street

SATURDAY:
7:30 ish: Breakfast, Hermann Wurst Haus all-you-can-eat breakfast. 234 E 1st Street. https://www.hermannwursthaus.com/weekend-breakfast-menu/

9:30am: 101 W 2nd Street Deutschen State Historic Site $5. This includes the Deutschheim House, Pommer-Gentner House, and Carl Strehy house.

11am: 312 Schiller Street, Hermann History Museum $5 - I've been told an hour isn't nearly long enough, but can't fit this in anywhere else (which is also why I have listed under Friday).

Noon: Lunch with such a large group i think we will meed to split up! Pick one for lunch:
Doxie Slush - 222 e 1st street
Wagon Works BBQ - 111 gutenberg street
Wurst Haus - 234 E 1st street

1:30: Hermann Farm Grand Tram Tour. $25. The tram leaves from Hermann Farms. 526 E 1st Street - We may get a $5 discount. Go here to read about: https://hermannfarm.org/tour (Farmhouse, barn, trading post, First Settlement Village, and the farm). I've reserved (and PAID for - so you will reimburse me) 24 seats, will need to know if we need more (or less!).
4:00 Hermanhoff Winery Wine tasting. 330 E 1st St - $15 for 6 samples. Building is on the National Registrar of Historic places). OR - rush back to Hermann History museum immediately after Tram tour before museum closes!

6:30: Dinner: with such a large group we will need to break up.

SUNDAY:

9:30am: Possibly White House Hotel Tour - 232 Wharf Street (https://www.thewhitehousehotel1868.com/tours)
Noonish: Back home

Lodging: Here are two places in Hermann people are staying at:

Kropp House rooms, a part of Hermanhoff Inn. 407 E 1st Street. The Kropp House is located by the Amtrak station, so convenient if you are taking the train and won't have a car. Phone: 573-486-5799, Website: https://innathermannhof.com/about-us/

Crown Suites Hotel: These rooms MUST be reserved for 2 nights. https://hermanncrownhotel.com/suites/, Phone: 573-486-2662. They do have free shuttle to and from Amtrak station.

Getting to Hermann: It is about an hour and 40 minute drive from Clayton. Amtrak also goes right to Hermann and the station is right downtown. As of early January, these are trips and prices (prices may change by April):
From Alton, IL:
Leave Friday 1:59pm, Arrive 4:45 $24; Return trip: Leave Hermann Sunday 12:36pm, arrive Alton 3:37 $21
From St Louis Gateway Station:
Leave Friday 3:11pm, arrive 4:45 $19 (also an earlier trip leaving at 8:10am and getting in at 9:45am); Return trip: Leave Hermann Sunday 12:36, arrive StL 2:20 $19 (also a later trip leaving at 7:57pm and getting to StL at 9:40pm)
From Kirkwood:
Leave Friday 8:39am (arrive 9:45am) or 3:40pm (arrive 4:45pm) $18. John and I are bought 8:39am tickets; Return trip: Leave Hermann Sunday 12:36, arrive Kirkwood 1:47pm $18 (also a later trip leaving at 7:57 and getting back to Kirkwood at 9:13p
