Hike Section 16 & Lunch at Firehouse BBQ/Tea House

Section 16 is a fun 4 mile hike in Black Forest (the address does say that it’s in Colorado Springs). There are nice trees and people often bring their horses and leashed dogs, and bikes or just hike. There are 4 benches (one on each of the sides of this square loop). Wear sunscreen if you want. Bring water & snacks if you want. Wear good shoes. Kids are allowed. But it can get tiring for some people since it’s a 4 mile hike and takes about 2 hours.

After, we can go to Firehose BBQ in Black Forest and buy the food. I always stop at Cotton Blosom cottage for caramel goodies and the cottage next door. And of course the Tea House to eat all the goodies. Theres a resident cat at the tea house. They are all in the same parking lot. Let’s be flexible and check out some cool spots in Black Forest.
