Want to see the pandas before it gets too hot? Then come to the Smithsonian National Zoo Sunday. April 27th, at 10:30 AM. Enjoy the animals and the outdoors with your fellow autists!
We're meeting at the Zoo's main entrance at 3001 Connecticut Ave. NW at 10:30 am by the giant sign that says "Zoo."
NOTE: I have ordered 15 passes, the maximum allowed on the Zoo's website. Once the RSVP list gets to 15, it will be closed. Please be on time so you can get your free pass to enter the Zoo.
EDIT: One person has asked if he could come. Since he has confirmed he is coming, I have to close RSVP's once they get to 14.
Please dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. If you burn easily, please bring sunscreen. Food and drinks can be purchased at the Zoo, but they are expensive. There are plenty of restaurants nearby.
The closest Metro stops are Woodley Park/Zoo/Adams Morgan and Cleveland Park on the Red Line. Parking at the Zoo is expensive, as is parking around the Zoo
Driving is not recommended.
If it rains, we'll have brunch instead.
I will post Metro service changes the week of the event.
See you soon,
Jenny
