COWELL-PURISIMA COASTAL TRAIL IN HALF MOON BAY

This wide gravel-and-dirt trail gently rolls along the edge of the continent: east is farmland and west are 100 ft cliffs dropping off to uninterrupted views of the Pacific. We'll stop on the bluff top at the turnaround for a snack break.

Approximately 7 miles out and back

DIRECTIONS: highway 92 to Half Moon Bay. Turn left (south) on highway 1. It's about 2 miles to the dirt parking lot on the right. If the lot is full, you can park along highway 1. There are restrooms at the parking lot. Parking is free.
