What we’re about

The Chen Style Taijiquan Practical Method is a system developed by Grandmaster Hong Junsheng and passed down to Master Chen Zhonghua. It preserves the art's traditional roots while providing a clear and structured framework for practice, making it accessible and effective for modern practitioners.

What makes Practical Method unique? Practical Method is renowned for its emphasis on:

  1. Precision in Movements: Every posture is grounded in physics and biomechanics, enhancing power and efficiency.
  2. Clear Principles: Focus on separation of yin and yang, alignment, and the ability to generate internal force.
  3. Practical Applications: Techniques are not just theoretical but designed for real-world martial application.

Whether you're new to Taijiquan or have years of experience, this system provides a systematic way to deepen your understanding of Taijiquan, from foundational exercises to advanced push hands practice.

The Singapore Practical Method group is led by Master Chen Zhonghua's disciples Marjorie and Franklin. Training is held every Wednesday evening from 7.30pm to 9.00pm at Blk 207 Toa Payoh North. If you're interested, do drop us a message to join in for a free trial session and see if the system is suitable for you.
