Willow Pond Nature Trail - Fort Clinch State Park

Details
Celebrate Wild Amelia week with a hike around Willow Pond.
“All it takes in Fort Clinch State Park is to step on the path, turn the corner and suddenly you arrive in the Real Florida. The Willow Pond Nature Trail is a splendid way to experience Fort Clinch State Park.”
Join Nassau County Sierra Club for a hike, stopping to observe nature, on the Willow Pond Nature Trail.
Willow Pond Hiking Trail is located centrally along the park drive. Two loops encircle a series of freshwater ponds. The shorter loop takes around 20 minutes to complete, and the longer loop takes 45 to 50 minutes. Wildlife observation is very good on these trails. Alligators, deer, and a variety of bird life can be seen in this area.
The group will stay together in a group for safety and camaraderie.
Please be prompt. We need to gather Sierra Club required Participant Agreements and give a safety talk so that we can depart promptly.
Registration recommended to save your space.
