Tour the Waste Management Recycling Center in Reno

Have you ever wondered how the Waste Management Recycling Program works? Join us on an informative tour of our Regional Recycling Plant or Eco Center to learn about recycling opportunities to increase awareness and help formulate ideas to keep food waste and nonrecyclable materials out of the waste stream. In order to participate you must wear enclosed shoes with a nonslip tread. We will have a special Guide from WM show us the Eco Center and answer questions. Each participant will be provided with a hard hat and safety vest to wear. There will be a waiver to be signed before the event and a $1 donation to the Great Basin Group, Sierra Club is appreciated to support Outings and Program Meetings. Service dogs only, please.
If you can't attend after making a reservation, please kindly remove your reservation as there are limited number of spaces available. No guests without a reservation, however minor children with their parent is okay.

Parking is limited. Directions: Please carpool if your schedule allows. Park in the lot north of Commercial Row and east of Sutro. Follow the sidewalk heading east just past the entrance to the Transfer Station. Cross to the south side of Commercial Row to the enter the Visitor's Center for the tour. Be careful as this is a busy place!
