Dolmen Ridge Scramble: Grade 3

This is an ideal adventure for those who have good experience at Grade 3 scrambling and would like to push it a bit further.

Intended route: Dolmen Ridge. This is classed as a Grade 3 and is one of the Ogwen Valley area classics. This will be a full mountain day out.

NOTE: You will need to have a good amount of Grade 3 experience. We intend to do this scramble unroped. The crux of the route is challenging and will require good technical scrambling skills. This event will be limited to 10 people and to those who have previously demonstrated ability. All people will be first added to the waiting list.

Essential Equipment: Helmet, harness (in case of emergency), good footwear such as boots/approach shoes.

Fee: £2 (send it direct to Gerry or give to me pass on) - The £2 keeps us going.

Meet: Cwm Idwal National Nature Reserve Visitor Centre (next to YHA Idwal Cottage)

NOTE: the earlier 9am start time to take account of the difficult parking in the area.

Accomodation: We intend to stay at the Gwern Gof Isaf campsite nearby Friday night HERE. There is also a Youth Hostel at Idwal Cottage, right next to the meet point HERE
