What we’re about
We are looking for local leaders and working professionals who live or work in the San Francisco Bay Area and are interested in collaborating to improve our local communities through impactful community service projects. Does that sound like you?
"Rotary is a global network of 1.4 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"What will we be doing in our group?"
Our Meetup group aims to:
- Host friendly and fun events for working professionals (families are welcome to join!)
- Host an average of 2 public events per month
- Host a blend of organic social events (often at restaurants, breweries, or wineries), as well as community service projects
- Occasionally organize fundraisers that will be targeted to help fund projects that help children/students, environmental projects, hunger relief projects, and supporting education.
"Who are you looking to come out to your events?"
All of our events on Meetup are public events where any working professional of good character is welcome to come out to join us for either our socials or our service projects. Almost all of our events on Meetup are also family-friendly, in case you want to bring your little one(s) with you.
"Is this a Rotary Club? If I am part of this Meetup group, am I a Rotary member?"
This Meetup group is an extension of the San Francisco Bay Area Rotary Club, with the primary purpose of extending our events to more working professionals in the area. Being part of this Meetup group does not make you a Rotary member. There's no commitment to come out to our public Meetup events – we'd just love to meet you! If you come out to our events and enjoy meeting us, we encourage you to ask a club member about membership. Club Members gain access to the greater Rotary network and also receive membership perks and access to exclusive members-only events.

🛠️What We're Doing

- Make a tangible impact on a local public space
All skill levels are welcome—training will be provided on-site for equipment use and safe procedures.
👷What to Bring
✅ A pair of work gloves and bottled water
✅ The City of San Jose will supply:- Tools (rakes, compactor, wheelbarrows, hose)
- Materials (decomposed granite)
