What we’re about
We love to just... go! "There is something in human nature, and something in the American character, that will continue to call to those who ride and those who dream of riding to faraway places." We're two locals who strive to do just that, to share our knowledge of the SF Bay Area and our secret (or not so secret) favorite spots along the road. Join us for one of our upcoming rides TBA soon...
🏍️ Gender balanced // All makes & colors (bikes & humans) // All backgrounds welcome // Safety first // 🚫 No drama // Always fun 🏍️
NB. We recommend you have at least 2 years of street riding experience on motorcycle 400cc or larger. You need to be comfortable going 75mph on the freeway, and at least the speed limit on surface streets and backroads.

- Wave riders to pass you if you feel pressure to go faster than you are comfortable with.
- I recommended everyone download the route onto your phone/GPS device.

Hey Folks!
Here is a *free* training event offered by the SF Police motorcycle unit.
SFPD requires a separate registration to attend. An RSVP here does NOT provide a slot in the class. Please read on.My goal every year is to do a little training and focus on skill fundamentals. And this course provides an opportunity to dodge cones and run over the ones you don't like while becoming a better rider. A course like this offers low speed skills that translate into better general moto handling confidence. If you ever wanted to learn how to do one of those tight, smooth, 1 1/2 lane police u-turns, this is where to learn. A very limited number of spaces are available, so register now before the class fills!
Register here - https://www.sanfranciscopolice.org/community/events/motorcycle-safety-skills-course-1
Register early because these events do fill up. There is a limit of 15 people per class, each student MUST make their own individual class reservation with SFPD, not just here on Meetup. When you get your class confirmation, please post in the comments that you made it into the class. Good luck!
When you register with SFPD, please put in the comments that you heard about it from "SF Bay Area Moto Meetup".
Course and practice techniques such as:
- Crash Avoidance Drills
- Emergency Maneuvers
- Going Slow with Control
- Proper Braking
- Turning Techniques
- Urban Riding Drills
These classes are limited to 15 students (total, not just our group) and require the following items to participate:
- M1 Endorsement
- Proper Riding Gear
- Registered and Insured Motorcycle
Afterwards we may do a late ride or late lunch depending on interest. Please put a comment in the comments section if interested.
