### Dates: April 27 – May 18, 2025 Location: Long Hall Gallery, Plummer Park, West Hollywood, CA Presented by: Art is Moving, Lark Gallery, Harmonia Institute, and the City of West Hollywood

### Project Overview

### The Voices of Resilience Exhibition & Art Festival is a powerful, multi-faceted art initiative that blends an international online showcase with an in-person exhibition in West Hollywood. This project highlights the transformative role of art in healing, peacebuilding, and community engagement. Juried by renowned art critic Peter Frank and featured in Art & Beyond Magazine, the exhibition will showcase a diverse range of paintings, sculptures, and photography from artists across the world.

### By exploring themes of resilience, courage, and healing, Voices of Resilience will serve as a space for dialogue, creativity, and connection. Through interactive experiences, artist talks, and collaborative projects, the exhibition aims to empower individuals and communities affected by trauma, conflict, and displacement.

### Opening and Closing Art Festival Exhibition Highlights

### Do you have a gift to share? We are looking for people to share the voice, poetry, and so much more. The festival will feature an array of events, performances, and interactive art experiences, including:

  • Capstone Project: Art for Peace – A collaborative initiative bridging divides between Russian and Ukrainians through storytelling and art.

### Goals & Objectives

  • Healing Through Art: Provide a space where art facilitates emotional and psychological recovery, particularly for individuals affected by trauma.

  • Community Engagement: Offer inclusive and interactive art experiences to the West Hollywood community and beyond.
  • Raising Awareness: Highlight art’s critical role in resilience, reconciliation, and peacebuilding.

### Why Art?

### Healing & Expression – Art provides a non-verbal medium for processing trauma, offering solace and empowerment. Building Bridges – Creative collaboration fosters empathy, breaks down barriers, and nurtures mutual understanding. Reclaiming Humanity – In a time of conflict and division, art serves as a unifying force that highlights our shared experiences and resilience.

### Funding Needs

### To bring this ambitious project to life, we seek financial support for:

  • Artist Honorariums – Ensuring diverse voices are recognized and supported.
  • Exhibition Costs – Providing high-quality display materials for featured artworks.
  • Community Programs – Funding free art-making stations, workshops, and public engagement activities.
  • Marketing & Outreach – Expanding accessibility and awareness through targeted promotion.
  • Capstone Peace Initiative – Supporting the design and execution of the Russian-Ukrainian collaborative project.

### Conclusion

### Voices of Resilience is more than an art exhibition; it is a movement towards healing, unity, and transformation. By engaging artists, survivors, and communities, this project harnesses the power of creativity to illuminate shared humanity and inspire change.
