Join us for an afternoon of bouldering and a (optional) night of dinner, drinks, and good conversations! 🧗🍽️🍻

IF YOU AND/OR YOUR FRIEND IS NEW TO BOULDERING, PLEASE ATTEND THE Intro to Bouldering: [FIRST-TIMER] Lesson, WHICH STARTS AT 1pm!

WHAT TO PREPARE

• Wear anything sporty or comfy to allow for a full range of motion.
• Long pants are recommended to mitigate scrapes on your legs.
• Or (if you own one) wear our SBC T-shirt so new members can recognize us.
• Wear socks (for rental shoes);
• Recommend having a light meal before joining us.
• Bring water (which can be refilled at the gym) and snacks.
• Bring a change of clothes (there is a shower room in the gym).

The gym is located near Suwon Station Exit 3.

FOR FIRST-TIME GYM VISITOR
You will need to sign a waiver and pay for a day pass.

• Bend your knees, roll on your back
• Do not fall on your hands, tuck them in

CLIMBING ETIQUETTE

• Do not place items on the mat, or sit on the mat
• Read the path other climbers are taking, so you do not clash
• If you fail your attempt, please leave the mat ASAP
• If you fail your attempt in 1-5 secs you may quickly take other try
• When using chalk, do not pull all the chalk in the air or ground. Keep the chalk neatly in the bag
• Be aware of camera recordings, do not block a climbers camera
• When climbing a route, it is first come first serve. So be quick and assertive to take your route.

PRICING

• Day Pass: ₩22,000
• Rental Shoes: ₩3,000 (Required if you don’t have your climbing shoes.)
• Rental Chalk: ₩2,000 (We have chalk you can use; no need to rent chalk.)

TIMING
The official event starts at 2:00 pm. You may join as early or late as you like!
⏰ 2:00 pm ~ 5:30 pm:

• Warm-up/stretching 🧘‍♀️;
• For experienced climbers you can come at any time based on your endurance level;
• We will introduce you to our regular members, and you guys will climb together & socialise.

⏰ 4:00 pm ~ 4:30 pm:

• We will take group photos 📸;

(By participating in the event, you agree that any photos or videos taken of you may be posted on our social media.)

• Invite you to join our KKT group and announce the dinner location.
• Arrange the transportation for carpool – drivers and passengers;
• Cool down/stretching;
• Shower/freshen up 🧼🧽.

⏰ 5:30 pm: Depart to the dinner location
⏰ 6 pm ~ till late:

• We get dinner 🍛;
• Then we may head to the bar, depending on everyone's mood

HOW TO SPOT US

• You may try to recognize us based on our profile photo;
• Some of us will also be wearing official “Seoul Boulder Club” T-Shirts;
• Find the largest English Speaking group.
• Ask around if you see people in small groups.

FAQ
Is the meetup free?

• Yes, we are meetup organisers, and you are free to join us. However, you still need to pay the gym for the pass.

When do you guys have the meetup?

• We run the official meetups every Saturday.
• Many of us climb on the weekdays, you will need to join our group chat for that! Ask us in person!
