What we’re about
All writers welcome to our support group-- I mean, workshop!
We chat, we write, we read, we critique, we support. And we have fun!(or else) Our members run the entire spectrum writers, from those of us who write all over napkins everywhere we go and scribble in every book (that's me) to absolutely brilliant published authors.
Our members include all genres, from fantasy, scientific/academic writing, memoirs and personal essays, true crime. Whatever your passion, whatever your project, we welcome you to our rainbow of writers.
We meet on Sundays at the new LIGHT BULB COFFEE in a quaint neighborhood of La Mesa with PLENTY of parking. Come early for introductions and social/snacks, then we aim for about an hour of writing time followed by reading excerpts to share with the group (optional) and providing constructive feedback.
I can provide a prompt (optional) or you can also use this time to work on your own projects in the company of others.

There is an optional online discussion where we exchange writing samples and notes if you want notes on your work or want to provide feedback for other writers.

Feel free to share a short introduction about your writing and an excerpt to share with the group for feedback. This is completely optional and I will distribute a google link if you opt in.
Personally, I write about the weird stuff. The off beat. True crime, and memoir pieces inspired by a life stranger than fiction.
