Saturday 10 AM pickup basketball -- Barrington Park outdoors

Hi basketball players! Every Saturday at 10am, we get together at BARRINGTON PARK's outdoor courts for friendly pickup basketball games. This group began 25+ years ago, thanks to a dad and his sons... and they still come most weeks! Recently our numbers have dwindled a bit, so I'm posting here in case more folks want to join.

Even though I live 30 mins away now, I keep coming to this court (ten years later!) because the players are kind and not ballhogs. There aren't usually people jacking up half-court threes or getting into heated arguments. Another bonus: it's cooler in Brentwood than the Valley, so summer games are still tolerable!

I'd say the average skill level is "played some in high school" or "played intramural bball in college," but A) that's not true for everyone, and B) you should come check it out and see if it works for you. Most guys are between 20-50 years old. And yeah, it's almost always dudes, but I like to think the group would welcome women who wanted to play.

I know blasting out an announcement for a pickup game can be risky -- we don't want to upset the cool thing we've got going. But I hope this appeals to some like-minded folks who want some exercise and sunshine to start the weekend!
