Friday Karaoke with Japanese Language Exchange friends!

Hello everyone, we are back for another karaoke event! This is a great opportunity to practice your language skills in a different and fun way.

We will be hosting it at Doremi Music Studio and we will be in two large private rooms. Their system has songs in English, Japanese and other languages. Japanese songs will have lyrics in Japanese with furigana. You can use romaji lyrics on your phone if you find that too challenging. They allow you to bring your own food and drinks in.

Doremi's system also has a website where you can search for songs: https://www.tjmedia.com/tjsong/song_search_list.asp. Type in the artist or song name (in Japanese for Japanese songs).

We will limit the number of participants to 20 to make sure everyone gets enough time to sing.

The cost of the room will be split evenly among attendees. Please Venmo @NicoleWatermelon (🗗Venmo link) for your RSVP to be valid.

While this event typically occurs directly after the regular language exchange, we're changing it up this time around and going on a Friday!

The schedule will approximately be:
7:30 - 8:30: Dinner
8:30 - 10:30 Karaoke

If you're joining for dinner, please arrive by 7:30 at the latest. Depending on group size, we may split up between nearby restaurants such as Hinodeya and Mugizo. Please reach out to me if you arrive late and are looking for the group!

Feel free to reach out over meetup/LINE for coordination. If you’re only attending karaoke, please note that if dinner runs over, we may arrive later than 8:30. I will update this event if that happens
