Please show up early especially if you are renting a board/kayak or have to pump up your iSUP. The paddle will be starting at 10:00am and go until 12:00pm on Saturdays. This is a casual paddle around the America's Cup Harbor on San Diego Bay in Point Loma. There is plenty of public parking at only $1/hr and some great restaurants if anyone wants to grab a bite after. Plan on dressing for the potential of getting wet (ie. No Cotton) but most people don't end up in the water.
If you have your own paddleboard or kayak this will be a free meetup but if you don't, Disco's Paddle Surf has extended a 25% discount on the rental of a kayak or SUPs but you will need to book at least an hour ahead of time on their website to get the discount. Use the promo code MEETUP25 at checkout for the discount. They have very stable standup paddleboards, single and tandem kayaks. Their supply is limited so you must book online to reserve your rental.
I am not able to lead this meetup but we are hosting those that want to meetup and paddle together. I will occasionally be able to get on the water with everyone but my hopes was just to create the opportunity for people to get together.
