Meetup 7:30-8pm on the Lightship PO12 1NU, which overlooks the Sail GP Marina.

SailGP’s fast and furious racing finally returns to UK waters for the highly-anticipated Emirates Great Britain Sail Grand Prix | Portsmouth on July 19-20.

Get ready for the new location of Portsmouth, a port city steeped in British maritime history, which will see Dylan Fletcher’s home team Emirates GBR gunning for victory in front of packed shoreside crowds.

Witness the thrill of the most exciting racing on water, as Emirates Great Britain put national pride on the line with a first home event since Season 3. We plan to sail in the morning and fix an anchored position to watch the racing on both days.

Are you ready to sign up - Here’s what you’ll need:

• A great sense of humour and adventure
• Waterproof jacket and trousers
• Your own water carrier, [saving plastics at sea]
• Sun cream / sunglasses you never can tell in the winter
• Wash bag and towel
• Sleeping bag and pillowcase [we got the pillow]
• Layered clothes in a soft bag for storage
• Hat and sailing gloves
• Non-marking out deck shoes
• Head torch and passports for the long weekends.
• Life jackets will be allocated on arrival and are to be worn whilst sailing
• Personal sports insurances

What to leave behind

• A bad week, it’s gonna get a lot better!
• Opinionated views, there will always be another side to explore
• Inhibitions, you’re on your own personal yacht, enjoy it!
