Climb Stuff In Tieton

Details

Let's get climbing and camping at Tieton before the temps there become unbearable. (if rains close in we can always transfer to Vantage)

Getting there: Either head around Rainier and Crystal Mountain on 7, or jump on I-90 (gas in Cle Elum at the Safeway or Warriors Stop is at least 30c/gallon cheaper than anywhere else). Take exit 110 toward Yakima. Then take exit 31A-31B towards Naches. This puts you on US-12W (Naches is a great spot to pull in and grab water, food, booze, firewood and other essentials from the store there - Slim's Market.)

Saturday
Tectonic lounge has oodles of moderates and offers the chance to dust off those multi pitch skills if you fancy.

Straight to the crag where there's tons of easy and moderate climbs as well as some spicy ones and even a multi pitch. We'll meet in the parking lot that accesses the dispersed campground.

Then follow the obvious trail at the end to the crag.

Saturday Night
Free camping and food, drink, fire and conversation at one of the many pullouts and fields in the area.

Sunday
There's a few options, we can discuss over the campfire

Communications
Post in the comments to seek or offer a carpool.

I'll email all the rsvp-ers nearer the date and we can trade numbers to ensure late arrivals or lostee's (it happens) can locate us or catch up or get directions (if I don't reply immediately give it a little while, I might be climbing, belaying someone, or just out of breath from hiking). When you see the 'Union Jack' painted climbing helmet and cammo trousers that's me.

Stuff to Bring

Essentials: Harness, shoes, water, sunblock.
Would be handy if you have them: Rope, helmet, quickdrawers, ATC, grigri, cams, chalk, anchors, safety slings and such.
Camping: Tent, food, firewood, sleeping bag.
