Kayaking at Buckley Dunton Reservoir in Becket

Details
I have no idea how many members of this group own kayaks (of course, canoes are also welcome) and are available during the week, but let's find out! In an attempt to increase participation and introduce more people to this group, I will cross-post this event to the Western Mass (and beyond) Kayak Group, where I am also an organizer.
Buckley Dunton Reservoir (also known as Buckley Dunton Lake) is a beautifully remote (only 4 nice houses along the shore of one bay) 160 acre lake that is located within October Mountain State Forest. The lake is shallow, with a maximum depth of 10 feet, with very clear water and abundant fish and wildlife. In a group outing a few years ago, while I was distracted picking and eating blueberries along the shoreline, the group leader asked me if I had seen the moose. You are likely to see great blue herons and perhaps bald eagles.
Have the usual necessities: a PFD, sun screen, water, and perhaps a light jacket (since it can get breezy on the lake at times). We will meet at the launch area before the dam. I will reschedule if either rain or high winds are in the forecast.
GPS is not good at locating the dam and launch area. Enter 507 Yokum Pond Road, Becket in your GPS. You will see the state forest service garage. Take the road next to the garage, a half mile to the parking area, boat launch and dam.
