Language meet up in Central London for Korean learners and speakers

Hello, this is Rakgyun. I've been teaching Korean at RG Korean (Based in Central London and New Malden) for the last couple of years and we did some pilot events of 'Korean language cafe(한국어 카페)' last summer in New Malden, where people could come and practice Korean speaking with both native speakers and other Korean learners.

You can make new friends, and practice your Korean speaking in a fun and friendly environment. Each time, we are planning to run this language cafe with the topic of the day, in doing so you can learn lots useful vocabulary/expressions related to the topic!

We are planning to make the cafe bigger and try to create a community of Korean learners in London who can actually improve their Korean language skills. Koreans who are now in London and would like to practise English speaking can also join us and meet new friends! Native Korean speakers who would like to practice their English can also join the cafe to practise your English!

Venue: Open area on the ground floor, National Theatre (Waterloo station)
Dates: 8th Mar, 22nd Mar, 5th Apr, 19th Apr, 3rd May, 17th May, 31st May, 14th Jun, 28th Jun, 12th Jul (biweekly)
Time: 4-5.30pm (1.5 hours)

What we are trying to do: Topic-oriented meet up
Each time, we will try to have a topic of the day and the organisers(or facilitators) can lead the conversation with the topic and you can pick up some useful vocabulary/expressions related to the topic. Native Korean speakers in London who would like to practise English speaking can also join us and meet new friends!

Please read this before joining the event!
- This meet up is focused on speaking practice of the Korean language leaners. Korean native speakers can practise their English with the learners. So, ideally you are required to be at least upper beginners level (TOPIK level 2 or A2).

- This meet up is NOT a language class, although the organisers or the native speakers can teach you some useful phrases. You can ask the organiser about find your private tutor or group class!

- This meet up is NOT taking place in a local pub, so it's alcohol free. You can go to the pub for a beer or to the restaurants for dinner after the event with the other guests. Totally up to you.
