Details

Our Sangha is an eclectic group that takes teachings from all different schools of Buddhism. This is a monthly drop-in group offering a supportive place to ask questions and to share our experience of the dharma. After a brief period of seated meditation, we begin with a reading or special topic, followed by group discussion.

All who identify as women are welcome, from any spiritual background.

No previous experience with meditation is necessary. You do not need to read the texts before the discussion.

Here is a list of some texts we sometimes use to generate and guide discussions:

  • The Hidden Lamp: Stories from Twenty-Five Centuries of Awakened Women, edited by Florence Caplow and Susan Moon.
  • The Book of Householder Koan: Waking up in the land of Attachments, by Eve Myonen Marko and Wendy Egyoku Nakao
  • Therigatha: Poems of the first Buddhist Women, translations and commentary by Susan Murcott, Charles Hallisey and many more.

Meetings are from 2:00 to 3:30, generally held on the fourth Sunday of the month. Occasionally as a result of Holidays and other events, it is necessary to change the date. If you want to check on schedule, current texts or activities, or anything else about the group, please contact Sally Landrum or SoKai (Charli Vogt). OR Check the website: https://redclaysangha.org/
